WHAT HAPPENS AT THE PRESTON LAWN BOWLING CLUB?
As we are the only lawn bowls facility in Cambridge we try and serve the needs of our members, the community, and support our bowling friends from other clubs both within the District and throughout Ontario.

REGULAR CLUB BOWLING
We offer bowling for club members three nights a week (Mon., Wed., & Fri.) at 6:45 p.m. (In the fall we may change some of those to afternoon sessions) Members put their names on a board and we draw for teams. So you play with different members each time. In addition we have special leagues on Tues. & Wed. evenings.
TOURNAMENTS & JITNEYS
We try to host some tournaments each season where bowlers from other clubs visit us for the evening or a day and compete over a series of 2 or 3 games. These are sponsored and prizes are awarded. In tournaments players sign-up in advance as a team. A jitney is similar, but no sign-up is required and names are drawn from players who are present to form the teams. See our Tournament page for more details.
SPECIAL EVENTS
In the past we have held special club events. These are dependent on club members stepping forward and organizing the activity. We have had pot-luck dinners, BBQ's, corn roasts, theme days, etc. Some evenings members play cards. There is an annual dinner at the end of the season.
OUTSIDE GROUPS
Other groups are welcomed at our facility. We have hosted service clubs, church groups, community groups, health organizations, etc. As well some members have held family events at our beautiful club. We have a kitchen, BBQ's, a lounge area, screened porch, and picnic tables. As well we are licensed to serve wine and beer. We can also provide bowls and instruction to groups who wish to try this great sport for the first time.
