WELCOME
The wonderful world of lawn bowls awaits you.
While the sterotype in Canada is that lawn bowls is a game for the elderly, we would like to dispel this idea. Lawn bowls throughout the world is played by all ages.
The Preston Lawn Bowling Club has existed in this community for 110 years. The building and grounds are owned by the City of Cambridge. Members of the club have the use of the beautiful old building and the grounds from May through to October. The property and Green are maintained by the efforts of the members of the club. The Club is licensed to sell and serve alcohol.
Please feel free to explore this site. When you are ready we are waiting to answer your questions and start you on your way to a sport that is easy to learn and takes a lifetime to try and master.

We have several ways you can show your support for our club and the activities we offfer.
Corporate Sponsor
$500+
Provide funds to be used by the club to promote activities, provide services, maintain the facility, initiate new programs or develop something in conjunction with the sponsor.
We would provide recognition in our club literature as well as a listing on our website, with a live link to the website of your
choice. Your logo would also be posted in the club and appear in the newsletter and on our Facebook page.
Tournament Sponsor
Fully Sponsor A Tournament $500 or Co-Sponsor A Tournament $250
Provide funds that allow us to conduct a tournament that draws bowlers from throughout Ontario. Money would be used to promote the event, offer refreshments, and assist with the prize money.
You would be noted as the sponsor in the printed and on-line versions of the Ontario Lawn Bowling Annual, which is distributed to members in every club in Ontario. As well we would list you on our website, with a live link to the website of your choice. Your logo would also be posted in the club and appear in the newsletter and on our Facebook page.
Club Event Sponsor
Sponsor An In-Club Event $100 - $250
Provide funds for an event to be held for Club members, such as a tournament, club league, or special occasion event.
We would list you on our website, with a live link to the website of your choice. Your logo would also be posted in the club and
appear in the newsletter and on our Facebook page.
Scoreboards & Benches
$50
We now have permanent scoreboards that are up all season. In addition we now have permanent outdoor benches. A business may now purchase an advertisement banner to go on a scoreboard for $50 for the season.
We will also put the logo and a link on this website. Unfortunately we are limited to only 14 spaces. Book early.
Short Mat Bumper Ads
$25
Your logo, and contact information will be featured on an end bumper or centre board. We have 8 bumpers and 4 centre boards for which you could purchase an advert.
Other Ways To Help
If any donor would prefer, their donation can be directed toward a club improvement instead of a tournament. Items in the past for which we have used this money have included new benches, kitchen improvements, club house repairs and upgrades, purchase of bowling equipment (rakes, bowls), Green’s supplies, equipment, and maintenance (fertilizers, mower).
Some companies cannot make a monetary donation and give products, services, or offer substantial discounts or certificates as a way of supporting this local institution.
